The WASH Project

In November 2024, we embarked on our WASH project, a significant milestone made possible by the generous funding from the SENA Foundation. With the wash project, our aim is to bring water to communities in dire need.

During the first phase of the project, we oversaw the construction of eight water boreholes in Pallisa, Iganga, and Kaliro districts. This has brought clean water to over 30,000 people, a testament to our dedication to improving lives.

The so-mentioned communities were selected for the first phase of the wash project because of their grave need for clean water. Families in remote parts of Pallisa, Iganga, and Kaliro were walking over 7 kilometers to collect water at a water hole that served 6 communities (a population of about 500,000).

With the completion of the first phase of the project, the load on the existing water holes has been reduced to about 4000 people per water hole. We hope to continue this endeavor in phase 2, during which we shall provide clean water to more communities in need.
