We believe that early childhood development (ECD) is key to a full and productive life and to the progress of a nation. At the WEHAT Foundation, we want to provide a firm foundation for young children and offer them a chance to excel at all levels of education.

In Uganda, only a tenth of children between 3 and 5 years are enrolled in formal pre-primary
education. Preschools are predominantly privately run and located in urban areas. Community-based ECD
centres receive very little state funding, are under-equipped, and often lack the bare essentials such as
clean water and toilets, and are managed by untrained volunteers or poorly motivated teaching stuff.

We are doing a lot to equip children with the necessary tools and skills that will help them forge a bright future for themselves and their loved ones.
- Investing in the early years is not only in the best interest of children; it is also key to developing human capital.
- Providing the tools for upward mobility and building an educated and skilled workforce

Uganda’s future as a middle-income country depends on providing the tools for upward mobility and building an educated and skilled workforce.
Meaningful techniques to foster and improve early learning for children are very vital, and this is what WEHAT Foundation & Mindset Revolution Africa are striving to achieve.
