Introduction
The Accommodation for Girls in Gunga Project by WEHAT Foundation Uganda addresses one of the most pressing needs for vulnerable children: safe housing. As a leading NGO in Uganda, we provide secure accommodation for girls who are orphans or come from families unable to care for them.
Project Overview
- By the end of 2023, WEHAT Foundation Uganda secured accommodation for 20 girls in Gunga, Busabala.
- Among them, 6 are orphans, while 14 come from families unable to provide care.
- The facility offers shelter, food, education support, and psychosocial care.
Impact
- Provides a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable girls.

- Promotes self‑reliance and dignity for children who would otherwise face extreme hardship.
Future plans
WEHAT Foundation Uganda aims to expand the Accommodation for Girls Project to serve more children across Uganda, ensuring that no child is left without a safe home.
